the circle
The circle,
the absence it creates,
the nothingness
demands creation.
post disaster healing
post-disaster healing: during natural disasters or conflicts, media coverage that showcases survivors coming together often results in increased communal support and donations. for instance, footage of community rebuilding efforts or shared compassion in the aftermath of crises tends to evoke empathy and collective resilience, encouraging individual healing and social cohesion.

the pixies’ church
the “pixies’ church” in dartmoor. it’s one of those elusive, whispered-about places. it stands where no road dares to linger. where the moorland breathes magic.
the church’s stones, covered in thick moss in varying hues of emerald and jade, create a living tapestry that blends with the surrounding forest floor. during morning mist, the stones seem to shimmer with a soft, pearlescent glow. delicate, bell-blue foxgloves and clumps of pale-green ferns decorate the stones.
the forest floor is dappled with spirals of luminescent fungi, casting surreal blues underfoot. the air here is thick with the low moor fog. and legend documents that fairies once danced here till dawn.
it’s no ordinary patch of wilderness. people pilgrimage here to believe in magic again.
an introduction to fairy rings
fungi fairy rings are naturally occurring rings or arcs of mushrooms formed mainly in forested areas, grasslands, or lawns. these rings happen due to the growth pattern of fungal mycelium underground that absorbs nutrients and expands outward in a circle, depleting the center, which may cause dead or differently colored grass in the center of the ring. over 60 mushroom species can grow in these patterns, with the edible scotch bonnet mushroom (marasmius oreades) being the best-known type.
they are surrounded by rich folklore attributing them to supernatural beings, who were dance. the circles are often thought to be magical gathering spots, with lore suggesting consequences for humans who enter them, such as endless dancing, madness, or curses. fairy circles figure prominently in european folklore, especially in english, celtic, german, dutch, and scandinavian traditions, often linked to magical or mystical dancing at night and sometimes regarded as portals to other worlds .
emotional healing
pro-social media and emotional healing: research summarized in a 2015 review highlights that pro-social content, such as stories of kindness, cooperation, and community—can foster empathy, reduce aggression, and promote cooperative behavior in both children and adults. notably, these effects are not just immediate but can have long-term benefits, including increased helping behaviors and emotional resilience.

bring the circle in…
This blog is not political; it’s an attempt to look at life in its more elemental forms and how they manifest in nature.
this blog is a companion to my new work—an ongoing experiment exploring the principles of unification, the quiet forces that draw things together and hold them in coherence. the work, and this space beside it, stand in gentle defiance of the world’s fascination with entropy, these days. here, things come together.
it will not be polished. it will wander. you’ll find fragments and found poems, bits of writing and artwork, photographs and remnants gathered along my path researching the nature of unification, of circles and collaborations, pilgrimages and the unseen principles that hum beneath.
if you have something—a word, a story, an image—that you think would help, please share it. i’m a student, not a teacher.
please, share your examples. and thank you for joining us, for a breath. an entropy free moment. that is what i hope to offer.
a beginning….
to find the center
let go
of the edges
the leaf is an actor
for the trembling wind…
hello. i’m writing you from the cathedral of dust that is the embers remaining of my soul, somewhere between the muffled shuffling of scholars and the hum of fluorescent resignation. i am here, with my first blog post about my new work. i have been planning these works for a few years, but they seem even more fitting now as these sets of sculptures explore the concept of unity and the union of elements to convey a form or idea.
additionally, i’ll be researching the forms created from the actions of community as it comes together for support and action.
and so it begins. here’s my offering: a reprieve from entropy. just a few words each week, a halt in the freefall, a breath of digital air. not instruction, not journalism. just one traveler comparing notes with you in the dim light of the universe.
